New York Style Pizza in Salt Lake City Anyone?
On the New York Pizza Finder site I recently received the following comment from Dave regarding Este Pizza in Salt Lake City:
you guys should check out Este Pizzeria in Salt Lake City, big thin slices baked in a bakers pride deck oven, they offer sicilian semi regularly, basically the locals here don't get it, these guys have it. just a suggestion
I just checked out the Este Web Page, www.estepizzacompany.com, and it appears they had a fire and had to close down temporarily.
Anyone know any other New York Style Pizza places in the Salt Lake area of Utah? Pizza Therapy mentions a place called Big Apple Pizza-- any good? Any others out there?

Este by far is the best NY
Este by far is the best NY Pizza in Utah, bar none - they had a kitchen fire last summer and are gearing up to open again. Not a moment too soon, either. Little Italy in Sandy is good. No where near Este though. Of course it's all subjective, isn't it? One thing Little Italy has going for them are their Zeppolis (power sugar-coated dough balls...mmmm)

OOHH! I have to say that I agree with the Estes posting...locals here do not even understand NY Pizza. I will try Big Apple..but I have been very disappointed in SLC pizza since my arrival. I am a New York natvie and would love to have some old world class here in the Salty City. There is a new(er) restaurant in Sandy...they are from New Jersey and they ay they say they have the pizza we are all craving.
