Finding Good Pizza Near Harrisburg, PA
I've got a few days to spend here in Central Pennsylvania, and my first night here I went to eat with a group at Grandpa's Growler in downtown Mechanicsburg. Right next door, what did I see? Only a place called Sal's Pizza! So of course I had to sneak away from the group for an "appetizer", a slice of Sal's as well as a good look around. Sal's ranked a 100 on the Sliker Scale, and 4 stars on the yummy factor. Not bad for my first night in town. Tonight, I'll be looking for a more-- one or two in Mechanicsburg and a couple in Harrisburg...

I forgot to mention FISAGA down town...order killer bread on one of your drinking outings...you'll be very glad you did. (not for those on a low carb diet but mmmmm) what a way to go.

There are a few great pizza
There are a few great pizza places in harrisburg....the best kept secret is the place at the corner of 17th and derry street the slices are HUGE and its not overly greasy. Get it to go. Also there is a great deal at JoJo's pizza in Union Deposit 2 large pizza's (2) for $20
the pizza is yummy. No name pizza on derry street about the 4000 block is excellent as well as the pizza from sorrento's on derry st. (that covers allison hill) if you want pizza uptown you gotta order from the place on cameron st under the mulberry st bridge (cant be beat) 2nd street on bar row is an expensive alternative but the food is always good. if your not on a budget or want pizza on a date. thats a cheesy alternative.
